Chainmail made its latest epic comeback in the finale of the Versace Spring Summer 18 show back in September. Carla Bruni, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford and Helena Christensen, five of the original supermodels, dazzled in shimmering gold chainmail gowns and strutted down the runaway hand-in-hand with Donatella Versace in tribute to the designer’s late brother Gianni. Besides breaking the internet as the most instagrammed moment of fashion month, gold or ‘goddess’ chainmail entered the spotlight.

It was Paco Rabanne who helped popularise the fierce, futuristic fabric in the ’60s as part of the Space Age movement, although none of his dresses were as naked as Paris Hilton’s at her 21st birthday party in 2002. The heiress’ cowl neck silver chainmail mini dress was previously pop culture’s most enduring image of chainmail, chicly recreated by Kendall Jenner at her own 21st birthday celebrations last year. Defined as a flexible armour of small metal rings linked together, allowing tantalising peeks of skin, it’s the perfect attention-seeking material for a New Year Eve’s party outfit. No-one will be able to tear their eyes away from you as you shimmer your way around the room. Now that the age-defying supers have proved that chainmail doesn’t have to be silver or only worn by pretty young things, try it out. It’s a much cooler way to do metallics, glittering without actual glitter specks, and there’s a rainbow of shades now available.

You’ll bring in the new year with a bang!

A stylish friend or family member who’s pregnant is still stylish. It’s just her priorities have changed with impending motherhood and an ever-expanding bump. The Duchess of Cambridge, Pandora Skyes and Leandra Medine Cohen are all mothers-to-be who haven’t let their pregnancy dampen their sought-after style. They’ve simply been smarter with their fabrics and silhouettes and let their accessories do all the talking. Follow their lead and treat your mummy-to-be to gifts that reflect their personality.

A charm bracelet is an inspired choice because they can add their own charms and pass it down to their baby should they wish. Luxury beauty products they can pamper themselves at home with, maybe firming products to help them spring back into shape, will surely be appreciated. A changing bag will be on their baby list so you could surprise them with a designer choice they’d love but never buy for themselves or opt for a roomy, brightly coloured bag to eternally lift their spirits. For the little one on the way, think cute and fun and leave the really practical stuff to the parents and grandparents.  A rattle is a traditional choice, while witty baby-grows and metallic photo frames will create and display unforgettable moments.

Vinyl this, vinyl that. I think the fashion world is casted under the spell of vinyl. This trend was first only on trousers yet now it is everywhere from coats to shoes. Even the latest Spring Summer collections showed that fashion was not over vinyl at all. So why not embrace this style and get all shiny with vinyl. I especially adore the red vinyl pants. It's just the perfect eye-catcher! #vinyl #trend #trousers #shiny

Previously, winter was all about wearing dark colours and plain clothing. Now it has completely changed. Winter fashion has more colour than spring/summer! So the staple item of winter; knits have also taken up this trend. Bold and glamorous colours are taking over knits and I’m loving it. Oversized and colourful is what you should be looking for when you’re buying knits this season. #oversize #knits #colour #bold #trend #winter #fashion

'm loving the different textures in this outfit. The dress has an airy fabric that it makes him look like the perfect dress pick for summer o spring, but it's the denim frannel with the shinny red boots that transform this look into the most interesting and fun fall look i've ever seems. This is the perfect example how you can re-use your favorite spring and summer pieces for fall, by adding the right companions. Get ready to embrace your inner cowgirl this season, one of the hottest trends this Fall. This Western-based trend has been around since last season but this Fall it's even more interesting as it's including winter items like shearling leather and denim coats, denim rhinestone jackets and dare we say cowboy boots?

The fashion girls are also in one the western trend. Take Kendal Jenner for example. She went for a very cowgirl themed look on Calvin Klein’s Spring 2018 runway, where Raf Simons took the Easy-Rider era Dennis Hopper for a very explicit inspiration. Jenner buttoned up a very sleek vintage silk shirt conveying an undeniable Americana vibe. Her top was piped at the pockets and embellished with sparkly sequins morphing a flower motif. Her high-waisted faded jeans were done in a straight fit leg reminiscent of 90s mom jeans. She topped the look off with a pair of equally scrumptiously 90s pointy black leather boots - that were equal parts elegant and witchcraft prone. Overall a perfect way to add cowgirl details to an otherwise muted outfit for emphasis.

The best way to incorporate this look with your current wardrobe is by following Kendall's example and opt for subtle embellishments instead of a head-to-toe cowgirl costume. There are many options to blend this trend with items already hanging in your closet: Go for a rhinestone denim jacket, a pair of studded flared trousers, a pointed-toe modified cowboy boot, a bandana around your neck or wrist, a large heavy belt over a floral maxi dress, and you'll instantly get that cowgirl Americana edge. Just don't sport them all at once unless you're still not over Halloween!
