Mad Monday kicks off today at London Fashion Week, but we think Sunday's showing seemed to be vying for this title this season with a packed schedule, celeb filled FROWs AND...a shoppable catwalk.

Burberry may well be ahead of the curve on most things, but Henry Holland secured a triumph last night with a gimmick that allowed you to buy the collections being showed there and then.

VIPs Alexa Chung and Daisy Lowe were invited onto the catwalk during the finale to purchase a piece using a specially customised Apple Pay HOH ring. They simply had to tap the items they wanted and boom, instant gratification.

As LFW becomes more and more commercial and less about exclusivity (this season in particular has proved that) customers buying the collections from the catwalk in real time makes complete sense.

With Henry leading the way, Matthew Williamson actually missing this season so he can focus on selling SS16 when it actually is Spring and Versus Versace's collection already available on Selfridges, we can't wait for next season!

Despite the horrendous weather, today's schedule has been mighty full on for London Fashion Week, so they was no time to worry about the rain, the up-hill climb to the latest venue or indeed getting splashed by the paps. No, no... we are TRUE pros.

You can read more about our misadventures later in our Day 1 round up, but for now here's our review of one of LFW's hottest tickets this season; Bora Aksu.

Always a show full of beautiful detail and a gorgeous colour palette, SS16's offering had us dreaming of spring with intricate lace designs, pastel sequins, two toned ankle cowboy boots and floral head pieces, which were to die for.

The inspiration for the collection all harked back to Aksu's childhood, when he would spend summers at his family's country house during the hot summer heat in Izmir.

His lemon, orange and pomegranate trees provided the staple colour palette, which is what made this offering so vibrant and fresh.

All in all, a stunning effort once again from the designer. Now onto the FROW or lack thereof should we say! However, we did spot Proudlock, Rosie Fortescue and Tallia Storm (looking like she had been electrocuted with hair that literally stood on end) but other than that, it was pretty quiet.

Here's hoping our other catwalk reports bring in some real A-list spots!

London Fashion Week kicks off today with its showing for SS16 and we are getting giddy at the thought of it here at Shopcade HQ.

Sure, it's 5 days of little sleep, surviving on coffee and pro plus with blisters the size of melons on your feet, but it's fashion week... no pain, no gain and I'm nothing if not realistic about the highs and lows!

Here's our guide to the 5 shows to watch out for this season...

1. Burberry Prorsum: The hottest ticket in town with good reason; a killer FROW, the hottest models and a collection which can spark a global trend. Need we mention the blanket cape?

2. Versus: Announced in January, this is one of the most anticipated debuts at this season's fashion week. Expect a major FROW, plenty of flesh on show and some turns from some famous faces on the runway.

3. Topshop Unique: Kendall Jenner, Cara Delevingne, Alexa Chung and Jourdan Dunn sat FROW in Feb and the show brought social and London to a standstill. This season you will be able to shop the FROW the day after. Nothing like catwalk to closet in one swift move.

4. Hunter: After an exceptionally beautiful and dramatic showing from Creative Director Alasdhair Willis (Stella McCartney's hubby no less) in February, expect a lighter, more playful vibe for their SS16 offering. After all, the great British weather ensures we need wellies all year round!

5. Ashish: A must for true fashion rebels; every season this becomes more of an event rather than just a show. Last season he brought out everyone's animalistic side- plenty of fur and sequins, with a healthy dose of sex. How does one follow that? Well, we don't have long to wait until we find out!

With just 3 days to go until London Fashion Week SS16, we're well and truly on the countdown now!

After a collective 'WTF' when the British Fashion Council announced LFW would decamp from Somerset House to The Soho Car Park, will they be able to pull off the transition in time? Well, here's more on the venue and other things to expect from this season...

1. It's ALL Change: New venue, new principle sponsor, this year will certainly be different! Gone is the grandeur of Somerset House, as LFW up sticks to a car park in Soho to make the shows more centralised. Also gone is Vodafone to be replaced by Sunglass Hut.  We've heard whispers that the design man between Alexander McQueen and Jimmy Choo has been hired to oversee the construction of the catwalk space and rumour has it... its incredible.

2. Venus joins LFW line-up: We did a little fist pump when this news was announced on Friday! It marks the first show for Creative Director Anthony Vaccarello since he joined the brand in January. We literally cannot wait!

3. Nine NEWGEN recipients will show at LFW: Ashley Williams, Faustine Steinmetz and 1205 are amongst those lucky designers getting catwalk or presentation sponsorship from Topshop.

4. Mulberry 2.0?: Hill & Friends join the line-up this year and we're more than just a little bit excited to see what Emma Hill (former CD of Mulberry and responsible for the Alexa FYI) will present!

5. Minnie Mouse will be on display: First revealed back in April, Georgia May Jagger has been styled like the iconic mouse in pictures that will go on display at LFW to celebrate the Disney character.
