This may be the year of the Scrunchie return. In addition to the recent scrunchie craze, there's an equal craving for over-the-top headbands in bold colours like red and royal blue. Those kindergarten hair-accessories are inspired by a need to return to a more naive era but in all honesty, they're just a fun way to accessorise.

Fashion followers have welcomed back one of the most polarising accessories of the past few decades. In the 90s and naughties, there was a common consensus that scrunchies are dated even kitsch. They led a life as a definitive faux pas by the mainstream culture but were also considered hipster material by labels like American Apparel or Retro Vintage.

But recently, scrunchies have been resurfacing as a bonified trend, a runoff effect of the 80s  revival. The renaissance trend of the 80s is about to become fully adopted by popping up to various collections. For example, Urban Outfitters has offered a wide display of different types of scrunchies varying from velvet to satin. Over at Balenciaga, their chouchou versions are made from lambskin and priced at almost $200.

Amidst the emerging scrunchies craze, a new luxe scrunchie brand was introduced. Comfort Objects is an accessories label based in Denmark that transforms vintage Hermès scarves into silk scarves, priced at $112. Insta - favourite Ganni adored for the rainbow stripes jumper, white cowboy boots and polka dot pieces presented his own scrunchie offering. Just this week, blogger Camille Charriere snapped a mirror selfie sporting a red floral scrunchie from the Copenhagen brand costing no more than $20.

Match the scrunchie pattern with your dress for maximum effect or opt for a red accessory to tie in the outfit. These accessories are best employed with a muted outfit like a creme coloured victorian blouse jeans and flats.

This coat is one of my favourites from backstage at the Hermes show. I’m loving the detail and oversized design, which will undoubtedly keep you warm this season until the months start getting warmer. #hermes #vogue Credit: Vogue Paris

I love how Chiara Ferragni styled her knitwear jumper! There is a vintage feeling though a very glamour point of view! And look at the mini Hermès bag! #hermes #knitwear

1. Adidas
2. Gucci
3. Christian Dior
4. Chanel
5. Rolex
6. Louis Vuitton
7. L’Oréal

Zoey Deutch looks elegant and ethereal in her recent spread for Harper by Harper's Bazaar. The blonde bombshell is the lucky daughter of two famous parents: her dad is Hollywood director Howard Deutch (he directed Pretty In Pink and The Whole Ten Yards, among others), and her mom is actress Lea Thompson (of Back To The Future fame).

In her interview, Zoey talks skincare and makeup, and poses in gorgeous pieces by La Perla, Tory Burch, and Hermes. Zoey is both model and an actress (remember her in Vampire Academy?) so her skin is vital to her career.

She opens up about her lengthy skin-care routine, which includes clarifying toner, goat milk moisturizing cream, and face masks, but does not include wearing much makeup.

Keep an eye out for Zoey on the big screen in 2017, since she's been filming for a plethora of movies soon coming out, including Before I Fall, Rebel in the Rye, Why Him?, The Masterpiece, Flower, and The Year of Spectacular Men

She's been a busy bee! Take a peek at the trailer above for Why Him?, starring Zoey and James Franco, which is dropping in December 2016!

Fashion month has come to an end and it won't be 'til September when we're treated once more to a barrage of catwalk shows, stylishly clad FROW revellers, presentations and model after-parties. Looking back at the some of the main players at PFW, we dig a little deeper at three of the week's standout trends...

No holds barred embellishment: We're seeing runway trends trickling down to high-street designs at quicker rates and when it comes to embellished garments, who better to inform next season's decked out frocks than the likes of Valentino, Balenciaga, Mugler and Balmain?

Conceptual: Unless you've received an invitation to the Met Ball or are an avid collector of architectural fashion pieces, it's unlikely you'll be taking to the streets in Comme de Garcons' samurai armour inspired gowns. Other left field looks from the AW16 shows can be found in Issey Miyake and Yunya Watanabe's collections.

Back to basics: With Christian Dior, John Galliano, Hermes and Celine working simplicity back into their mood boards, we're loving another influx of conservative two-pieces, grecian style draped maxi dresses and basic cuts.
