Florence Welch recently made headlines all over the world as she sang tracks from her new album High as Hope at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Once again, Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine proved her skill not only in song and stage presence, but with her signature theatrical boho style – something we’ve always loved about her.

During the Chanel AW2015 show she conquered the red carpet in a blush-pink pantsuit with eclectic accessories and a huge black fedora hat. While at Erdem she appeared in an emerald-green feather coat, complementing a pair of dark-wash jeans.

A gal truly inspired by the '70s, Florence isn’t afraid of bold print and rocks anything from psychedelic swirls to chintzy florals. Sporting gowns with billowing capes – like that gorgeous custom Gucci column gown she donned for Chime for Change – this singer always wows us with her maximalist style. F

or accessories, Flo seems to love a fringed bag or teeny, tiny clutches. She's a fan of silk scarves, unique headpieces and of course, dangling bohemian earrings.

Pearls have always been a mainstay of chic women. Made famous by Coco Chanel herself, the simple, monochrome touch that a well-placed pearl necklace achieves is timeless.

Pearls are great for playing it safe so until now, they’ve been associated with twin sets and tea dresses than fashion-forward models and bloggers.

Things have changed… pearls are back in business and the bigger the better. We’re seeing pearl accessories everywhere, from the runway to our favourite fashion blogs with minimalist twists and punk accents galore.

Want to pull off pearls like a cool girl? Take a look at our round-up of the best pearly pieces to invest in for a twist on a fashion classic….

On the first Monday of every May we eagerly await the red-carpet glam squad who’ll assemble at the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The annual costume gala is only a few days away and we're buzzing with anticipation.

This year the Gala will be co-hosted by Amal Clooney, Donatella Versace and the undisputed queen of red carpet events, Rihanna – we’re still not over the train on the mustard Guo Pei gown she sported in 2015. The theme for the 70th anniversary of fashion's biggest fund-raising event is Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination; a pretty controversial subject in comparison to past themes.

China: Through the Looking Glass, Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty, Punk: Chaos to Couture and of course, last year's Rei Kawkubo: Comme des Garçons were among the iconic themes of Galas past. This time, Fashion and the Catholic Imagination will focus on religious depictions showcased across three galleries including the Met Cloisters.

The exhibition will feature 50 pieces from the Sistine Chapel – including robes, rings, tiaras and other accessories from the 18th to the early 21st century. As for fashion, guests will be treated to a viewing of 150 religiously-inspired ensembles from houses like Balenciaga, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, and of course Versace.

Care to jump on the bandwagon and dress to fit the theme yourself? Head to our gallery for more inspiration and shop the best accessory styles from our edit below…

Dressing chic in Spring can be quite a conundrum. So investing in key pieces is essential to maintaining a fashionable and functional winter wardrobe. Case in point: The striped sweater.

Ever since French Capri dressing became a vital way of dressing thanks to Coco Chanel the popularity of the striped Bardot shoulder top rose to the top. It's the perfect piece of clothing that you can strategise your winter wardrobe around because it's elegant and very versatile.

Here are three ways you can sport stripes this Spring...

Spring in the UK doesn’t always equal warmth and sunshine. In fact, rainy days are pretty much a staple of the British springtime, but when has that ever stopped us from looking our best?

The only problem with unexpected spring showers is having to lug an umbrella around, or worse, go without the brolly and end up ruining that lovely new-season trench. Luckily, the SS18 runway has the solution to the UK’s weather problem.

Blending form with function, beautiful plastic macs, vinyl jackets and see-through raincoats are everywhere meaning you can rock a waterproof layer while still looking chic. Touted by Valentino, Anya Hindmarch and Chanel, a clear plastic mac with cool detailing is the perfect spring layer.

Team your see-through iteration with a bright clashing ensemble underneath, or opt for a simple off-duty look with cut-off jeans, sunnies and your favourite trainers. Alternatively, go for a brighter style to lend your wet-weather look a statement twist.

Rainy days are no reason to compromise on style so browse our edit of the best plastic macs and try this easy spring trend for yourself…

If there's one trend that should never go out of style that is comfortable looks. It's essential to any outfit to feel that it moves along with the body and facilitates our lives instead of being constricting and well... a burden. Which is why when pyjamas became an official outerwear trend there must have been a universal sigh of relief heard across the world of women tired of their binding and uncomfortable clothing.

Loungewear worn as everyday clothing became a massive trend including the very popular slip dress, the bralette and corset. But there's something innately brilliant about sporting pyjamas as an outfit because in a way it resembles a more relaxed version of a business suit. Inspired by the 20's and Coco Chanel this trend shows no signs of slowing down and we're completely on board. Opt for a cover-up or a kimono for starters as an outerwear and then don a full head-to-toe pyjama look taking cues from Olivia Palermo, Rihanna, and Gigi Hadid to name a few.

Browse through our gallery for pyjama-specific inspiration and then shop your favourite looks in our exclusive edit below!

I'm loving this shoes from Channel  They have this vintage 60's vibe that I just adored. Pink and black are one of the best color blocking in my opinion.  #fashion #shoes #chanel #look
