Another example of the '90s are infiltrating fashion: wide-leg jeans or raver pants are reappearing. They are still not as giant as those used in the '90s but are wide enough to present themselves as a significant change from the skinny jeans. Credits: Pinterest.

This season leopard print has become more day-to-day than statement. The days of wearing it with frugality are long gone. This year, maximalism reigns...

Leopard print has been associated with Christian Dior in the ‘50s rockstar glam in the ‘60s and a ‘70s and ‘80s staple with David Bowie and Debbie Harry making it an essential element of their trademark looks. In the ‘90s grunge Kurt Cobain Courtney Love and Kate Moss reinstated its killer style value. How to wear animal print? Take a few tips from the style aficionados and rock leopard print day or night.

Leandra Medine of Man Repeller goes for a double leopard-print number,  juxtaposed with red strappy heels. Olivia Palermo clashes leopard and check while Alexa Chung keeps it sweet by adding just a few leopard print accessories here and there; from a cross-body chain bag and sandals to a headband.

Street style has also gifted us many variations on the leopard trend: from pochettes to mules, jackets, shirts or leggings, animal print has proven itself as one of the most fun ways to be fashionable this season.

In case you missed it, the madness for the logos is more significant than ever, guided by the same logos that we liked in the '90s and early' 00s. Credits: Pinterest

Drew Barrymore shows us here how to work a dark lip on sunny days with this classic 90s pairing of a vampy lip colour and white ribbed vest. The burgundy pops against the white whilst, dressing down a classic evening lip, the casual tee allows you to effortlessly transition from day to night. Wear without mascara for an even grungier, nonchalant look. [photo cred: instagram]

Take cues from your favourite poolside buddy: the shoe of the Spring/ Summer that has emerged from the sports arena to take the fashion's main trend spot this season is the slide.

You can attribute this influx of extra comfy shoewear circa 2018 to Marni who opted to style it with frayed hems to beautifully compliment step hem pants and dresses. This pair would be perfect for a smart summer day look complete with a cold-shoulder blouse an oversized bag and a pair of oval sunnies.

If you're after a great alternative to sky-high stilettos, you can go with the sleek style of Lanvin, who took the vintage option way back to the Ancient times with a style that reminds us of Greek goddesses. You can team the extra sleek pair of slides with a Grecian spaghetti strap silk dress, a low bun, and accessorize with ethnic earrings and a bold red lip.

Of course, there are always our go-to slides that are innately sporty: Fila, Nike and all the other major sports footwear companies have produced an array of styles making it extra difficult for us to choose.

Sporty sliders are an excellent option for the beach/ and or poolside along with your swimsuit, caftan, floppy hat and beach bag or backpack. The inevitable 90s throwback of the sporty slider allows for experimentation. Add a mesh blouse over a sporty t-shirt and pair it with boyfriend jeans and a baseball cap. The world is your fashionable oyster!

Scroll down for our selected edit of the best sliders around this season!

What exactly are mom jeans? Think of light and loose denim, very relaxed and with a clear inspiration of the 90s. Credits: Pinterest

This may be the year of the Scrunchie return. In addition to the recent scrunchie craze, there's an equal craving for over-the-top headbands in bold colours like red and royal blue. Those kindergarten hair-accessories are inspired by a need to return to a more naive era but in all honesty, they're just a fun way to accessorise.

Fashion followers have welcomed back one of the most polarising accessories of the past few decades. In the 90s and naughties, there was a common consensus that scrunchies are dated even kitsch. They led a life as a definitive faux pas by the mainstream culture but were also considered hipster material by labels like American Apparel or Retro Vintage.

But recently, scrunchies have been resurfacing as a bonified trend, a runoff effect of the 80s  revival. The renaissance trend of the 80s is about to become fully adopted by popping up to various collections. For example, Urban Outfitters has offered a wide display of different types of scrunchies varying from velvet to satin. Over at Balenciaga, their chouchou versions are made from lambskin and priced at almost $200.

Amidst the emerging scrunchies craze, a new luxe scrunchie brand was introduced. Comfort Objects is an accessories label based in Denmark that transforms vintage Hermès scarves into silk scarves, priced at $112. Insta - favourite Ganni adored for the rainbow stripes jumper, white cowboy boots and polka dot pieces presented his own scrunchie offering. Just this week, blogger Camille Charriere snapped a mirror selfie sporting a red floral scrunchie from the Copenhagen brand costing no more than $20.

Match the scrunchie pattern with your dress for maximum effect or opt for a red accessory to tie in the outfit. These accessories are best employed with a muted outfit like a creme coloured victorian blouse jeans and flats.

The allure of wearing lingerie as outerwear is nothing new, but as we transcend into Spring the most popular trend of last season is emerging yet again: the Spring slip dress. Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid and Selena Gomez welcomed the sexy throwback trend from the 90s without fail. Likewise, in the 1990’s Andy McDowell, Rachel from Friends and pretty much every starlette of the time sported this very easy to incorporate trend. Its popularity stems from its versatile nature.

An ivory floor length slip can make for a wondrous wedding dress, a red slip dress can look amazing on a night out while a black slip worn with a white tee and a pair of sneakers is your ultimate daywear go-to!

When it comes to styling layering a piece of fabric (plain white t-shirt, blouse, shirt) is not only chic but very practical too. It's one thing having a strap fall when worn as lingerie at home it's quite another if that happens while working or commuting crammed in the tube. That multitasking white t-shirt lets the slip stay in place whilst providing cover.

For that extra piece of layer wear it over a slogan hoodie that will elevate your style know-how while keeping you warm at the same time.

Have a look at out exclusive edit of all the slip styles you need to own this season!

After the long prominence of mom jeans and dad sneakers, it's time for dad jeans to take over as the new trend of questionable aesthetic (see: "ugly" trainers). Think of those light blue roomy jeans that your dad couldn't get enough of in the nineties. Now, this specific style is translated for womenswear and adopted by hard-core fans ranging from Victoria Beckham to Kendall Jenner and Rita Ora. Despite its unflattering silhouette dad jeans can be styled in a way that compliments the figure by balancing volume and belting.

Dad Jeans are quite versatile as you can wear them with almost anything that's already hanging in your closet. Try a slim fit top tucked in with an oversized teddy bear coat or a vinyl trench. Finish your look with a pair of crimson red booties and a clutch.

Opt for Victoria Beckham's approach by juxtaposing the slouchy shape of the jeans with a fitted and sleek rollneck, a leather messenger bag and black leather mules. Put your hair up in a messy bun and don't forget your oversized sunnies for an XXL approach to smart daywear. Go for a dad head-to-toe look like Kendall Jenner.

Pair your distressed jeans with "ugly" dad trainers, an oversized sweatshirt, a dad grey check coat and matching scarf and a pair of tiny 90s sunglasses. The end result may raise a few eyebrows in terms of elegance but you have to give it points for comfort.

So what do you think? Yes or no to dad jeans? Still undecided?
