Description

These stunning handmade, fair trade and eco friendly sari photo albums are covered with vibrant sari fabric and bound with handmade paper. A lovely gift for someone who loves storing their treasured photos in a special album. These sari photo albums have 30 pages of khadda paper each interleaved with tissue paper and can hold up to 120 photos; khadda is recycled cotton that has been left over from the massive garment industry in India. They are handmade and don't contain any chemicals as we use only unbleached cotton. We don't recommend using fountain pen with this type of handmade paper. The paper is made by a charity in rural Rajasthan that promotes women's education and their social standing in the rural villages. They are available in 6 vibrant colours. We are a fair trade company and regularly visit our suppliers to ensure the highest standards are met. We quality control all our products to ensure that you only receive the best. We pay our suppliers 50% upfront and send money to them whenever they need it. We never send anything back or not pay for damaged goods. We use a bonus system for the staff and they can earn up to 5% of our total order value which can give them an extra month's wages per year. This album is also perfect to use as a scrap book, art book and the paper is great for water colour painting. Photos can be added using photo corners, which are available in any good photography shop, spray mount or simple glue. These albums have been expertly crafted using a mixture of contemporary and traditional methods and the pages have been hand bound and are ideal for travelling and perfect for just doodling or diary writing. The sari's come from Varanasi, one of the most religious cities in the world and a centre of excellence for sari making. We use new saris as we cannot guarantee the cleanliness of recycled sari's and cannot always get the correct styles and designs. Due to the handmade nature of these products colour and designs may slightly vary but loveliness comes as standard.
