But it doesn't stop there! Not only is her character a fashion-addict, but in real life, Sarah Jessica Parker is just as prominent a style icon. She's been praised (and sometimes criticized) for her unique style, on the red carpet and on the sidewalks, but she always marches to the beat of her own drum. I love that she stays true to her own vision, even if I can't get down with the sometimes-wacky combinations she comes up with!
Besides her career as an actor, SJP has also made a name for herself as a fashion designer! With her own line of fragrances, footwear, and dresses, there's not a lot that she hasn't done - and now she's narrowing that gap, by designing her own line of jewelry! She's teamed up with Kat Florence, a London-based fine-jewelry designer, to bring us The Flawless Diamonds Collection. Ooh!
Parker says this collection is close to her heart, because she's a big fan of jewelry. "“There is so much that goes into jewelry, it is so personal. As an actor I have to remove all of my jewelry in order to take on the characters I play. I get to a trailer for work every day and I have to take off my jewelry to play a character, to be someone else. To me, jewelry is a very special choice." She is not only collaborating with Florence on the design, but luckily, she will also be the model for the collection! It sounds like she knows what she likes, so I'm excited to see what unique designs she has in store for us.
The collection will heavily feature diamonds, specifically flawless diamonds from Botswana.
The pieces are divided into five different categories, from vintage-inspired to sparkle-enhancing, and will drop November 5th. Keep an eye out for these gorgeous diamond-encrusted accessories! They will be priced starting at $1400, because both SJP and Florence are invested in creating affordable, wearable style. “Kat’s trying to create jewelry that is at a price point that is doable,” she said in an interview. "That is not the typical philosophy [usually associated with] diamond jewellery.
She is the opposite of the big diamond industry.”
Watch out for November 5th, because these pieces will be extremely limited-edition - they're only making 10-15 of each design!
