If one must exit the safe confines of one's home in order to shop in person, here's how to survive the jungle that is one's shopping destination of choice - as long as the midseason sales are on...
DO bring a friend; there's safety in numbers and however heated exchanges might get with fellow shoppers, your pal/s will help you avoid playing tug of war with a stranger... like those chicks at the Balmain X H&M launch in Paris. #awks
DON'T teeter about in heels. Shopping is a serious business and can potentially count as LISS cardio (low intensity steady state) - we hope - so unless you're a pro in stilettos, don't injure yourself as you run to as many stores as you can on your hour lunch break.
DO split sales rack recon with your friend/s. While your BFF hits the outerwear section to see if those up-to-75% off winter warmers are indeed warming, get your butt over to the accessories bin and dig deep!
DON'T buy the wrong size just because it's pretty and the last of it's kind. You're not offering it a good home if it hangs dormant in your wardrobe because it's either a potato sack or a stick insect's bodysuit.
DO plan out what you're on the lookout for. Sure, sometimes the best buys are spontaneous but if you have an idea of what you're needing to make up for in the wardrobe department, bargains will be easier to spot!
