Rumours that Saint Laurent's creative director Hedi Slimane departed the fashion house over "creative differences" have been circulating and just won't go away! Now, WWD reports that talks with Slimane regarding his contract have yet to go anywhere...
Because of this, the fashion house has supposedly lined up Versus Versace's create director Antony Vaccarello as a potential replacement! Saint Laurent is said to have concluded "extensive talks" with Vaccarello but the label insisted it "doesn't comment on rumours."
Last week, a brand spokesperson told Vogue that there was no truth to Slimane leaving whatsoever.
Since Slimane took over the helm from Stefano Pilati, Saint Laurent has gone from strength to strength, doubling in sales during his first two years at the fashion house to almost $800 million annually in 2014.
