This time last week we were all getting weepy and adopting a member of the elderly, thanks to John Lewis' annual Christmas advert offering.
Today, it's Sainsbury's turn to unveil their Christmas ad and the two could not be more different. The fourth biggest supermarket has decided to go down the humour route with the adventures of Mog the cat.
The poor thing has a bit of a nightmare and promptly destroys the house in what can only be described as a series of (highly) unfortunate events.
Last year's ceasefire advert was also highly praised by viewers, which saw them working in partnership with The Royal British Legion. This year, profits raised will go to Save The Children.
So, does John Lewis have a new contender for best Christmas ad? Perhaps. Watch for yourself above and let us know which one you prefer!
