Head of Commons committee Frank Field (investigating the collapse of BHS) has stated he believes Sir Phillip Green to be "worse than Robert Maxwell", the media proprietor who stole a £440 million pension pot.
Speaking to BBC Radio 4's Today Show, Field said: "Sir Phillip Green has a huge amount of money - unlike Robert Maxwell - if he wishes now to make a good the pension deficit to those 22,000 pensioners he could do it. He keeps talking about it, but he doesn't do it."

Last month, the Evening Standard's Melanie McDonagh questioned "Will fashion take its stand over Green?" She states the chairman of arcadia group is a "genius retailer and the parties are legion where he beams in the company of Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne et al.
"Perhaps fashion can show it's moral muscle. Models and fashion editors are terrifically exercised about breast cancer and gender issues... Any chance they might take a stand on the rights of pensioners? A no-show by the party crowd until Sir Phillip plugs the BHS pensions deficit? Or are pensioners not the right fit for Kate and Cara?"
Good point Melanie.
