If you're active on Facebook, then you've already heard the news and seen the video we are all so excited about!
Kolkata based dream pop duo Parekh & Singh, comprising of singer-songwriter Nischay Parekh and percussionist Jivraj 'Jiver' Singh, have release a music video for their popular song 'I Love You Baby, I Love You Doll' from their upcoming album Queen and everyone on the indie-internet is losing their minds.
Why, you ask? Well, these guys hit a new level of awesome by featuring obvious influences of American auteur Wes Anderson's work (especially Moonrise Kingdom) in the video, employing similar frames, camera pans and colour grading. The video is almost as dreamy as their song, which we've been playing on repeat since yesterday!
What's more exciting is how far our indie music has come! We believe the popularity of this video will give birth to more indie artists across various industries to collaborate and create more art. Yes, we are also hoping to see some much needed work in fashion, films being the main output.
Wait, did you check out their suits, BTW? Wes Anderson himself conveyed his compliments to the creators via his trusted gripper and friend, Sanjay Sami. Absolute love!
