Unfortunately, it's a crime to take photos in voting booths in Tennessee, as it is in New York, Colorado, Illinois, Florida, and several others states. These laws are intended to prohibit the sale of votes, as photos could theoretically be used as proof that someone voted the way they were paid to.
Justin's case is currently "under review," according to the Shelby County District Attorney's office. The punishment is up to 30 days in jail and a $50 fine.
