If you’re looking for a healthy glow this spring but are sick of spending all your money on expensive creams and facials, we have good news. It turns out, if you eat the right kinds of foods, your skin will naturally brighten!
The first food you should be eating more of are sweet potatoes. They are packed with antioxidants that improve luminosity because they are rich in beta-carotene and high in Vitamin C.
Of course, any other sources of Vitamin C like blueberries, kiwis and oranges will also do the job.
Fish is also one of the best foods to eat for good skin as it contains healthy fatty acids and zinc which both act as natural moisturisers for your skin.
Another way to add those healthy fats to your diet are with nuts. We particularly recommend almonds and hazelnuts because they are also rich in Vitamin E which protects skin from damage.
One of the best foods for smoother complexion and firmer skin is yogurt, so don’t hesitate to add some to your diet if you’re looking for that extra bit of luminosity!
And finally, our personal favourite: chocolate! Dark chocolate contains high levels of flavanols, antioxidants which are associated with softer and more hydrated skin. Not that we needed another excuse to eat chocolate….
