so far) I've emphasised the importance of cardio in burning fat. Again, it's not possible to lose weight in a specific part of the body so if it's slimmer arms you're after, it certainly does help to either run, cycle, swim or jump rope. On the other hand...
2) Training your biceps and triceps is what will ultimately give you the toned, sculpted look we're all so envious of. Pushing movements like presses and press-ups take care of your triceps whereas any repeated pulling motion (lat pulldowns for instance) strengthens your back while working on your biceps in the process.
3) Break out those dumbbells you've had stashed away since scrapping those New Year's resolutions and start doing curls and overhead extensions. There's no need to be afraid of bulking up - that's actually a long process which requires a lot of effort. Think light weights with many reps.
