It's widely known that queen Adele, singer/songwriter extraordinaire, shuns big performances - although fans were excited that she did headline the big Glastonbury festival this year. Now, she's making headlines for turning down an offer to perform in the half-time show for next year's Superbowl!
Playing the Superbowl would be a dream for thousands of musicians, putting them on tier with past half-time stars like Paul McCartney, Beyonce, and Katy Perry. So why would Adele turn it down? Because she's a purist, all about the music! She reportedly said that the Superbowl is "not about music" at all, which we can't really deny.
She also said that she was not interested in dancing around and putting on a show. And why should she? With a voice like that, that's all she needs!
The NFL of course denied making Adele an offer, since they want to keep the headliner a surprise until their own announcement.
If you're sad about missing out on Adele during the big game in February, just grab a ticket to one of her concerts, and you'll get to hear her perform "Hello" and "Rolling In The Deep" in person!
If you can't make it, at least you'll always have her online performances! Enjoy this above video in which Adele sings Hello on The Tonight Show!
